Jim Osterwise, Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Jim Osterwise graduated from Parker Chiropractic University in Dallas, Texas, USA, in 1992, where he later contributed significantly to the institution by serving on the Alumni Board for four years, including one year as President, and subsequently on the Board of Trustees for another year.

Dr. Jim’s passion for chiropractic care was deeply inspired by Dr. Chester Miller, a remarkable chiropractor he met at the age of 24. At 88 years old, Dr. Miller was still treating 10 to 12 patients daily, seven days a week, using a gentle, low-force technique that involved no twisting, popping, or cracking—yet produced extraordinary healing results. This powerful experience shaped Dr. Jim’s professional philosophy and became the cornerstone of his own chiropractic practice.

Over the next 17 years in Texas, Dr. Jim treated a wide range of patients—from newborns just hours old to Olympic gymnasts, and even a 94-year-old lady recovering from a car accident. His dedication to providing individualized, compassionate care helped countless patients restore mobility, relieve pain, and reclaim their quality of life.

In pursuit of new challenges and opportunities, Dr. Jim relocated to Jordan, where he practiced for four years as the only licensed Doctor of Chiropractic in the country. During his tenure, he served on a Ministry of Health committee working toward the official recognition and licensing of chiropractors as Primary Care Providers, in alignment with World Health Organization (WHO) standards.

In November 2013, Dr. Jim embarked on his next professional chapter, bringing his expertise and passion for natural healing to Malaysia, where he continues to make a meaningful impact on the lives of his patients.

Dr. Jim firmly believes in the science, philosophy, and art of chiropractic care—three elements that, in his view, must always work together in harmony. His guiding philosophy is simple yet profound:

“The power that made the body heals the body.”

He teaches that while medications can alter symptoms, true healing comes from within. The role of the chiropractor, he emphasizes, is to restore proper alignment, relieve nerve pressure, and enable the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
